You know you live in USA when...

I went to the doctor today and it cost me $225. Yes, I do have a health plan.

Dear Flu

Please go away. You have spent plenty of time with both Andrew and I and we both agree you have outstayed your welcome. We don't want to be sick anymore. Please find somewhere else to live.

My Review of "40 Year Old Virgin"

Steve Carell is really great. That guy who played Rachel's assistant/boyfriend on Friends was great too. It's rated R, so you might think that it's not a movie for kids, right? WRONG! just bring your 12-year olds and infants along! There's a chance your 12-year old is still a virgin too, so if you bring him along he'll learn a lot about sex and a lot of great words for body parts and he will love it! Your infant might not love it as much, but there's nothing better than a screaming baby to make everyone else in the theatre love you! 4 out of 5.

Nintendog's

OK, I know this is pretty dorky but I've purchased Nintendog's for the Nintendo DS. The experience of buying this game was a lot like buying condoms at the local drug store for the first time. You really don't want to be seen holding the box at the cashier. Unfortunately I had to ask for it at the counter, and the bastard salesperson thought it was a prank. "You're joking right" were his exact words. To make matters worse, there's three different versions, so after he handed me one I had to quietly respond with. "...ahh, no I want the other one, the one with the Pug in it.". I should have just said it was for my wife.

It was worth it though. Nintendog's is strangely addictive. I've created a virtual Pug named Robocop to replace the now obsolete Ruby and George. He's already learned to sit, spin, jump, play dead, roll over, shake paw and moon on command. As much as Kristie seems unimpressed as I yell voice commands into the DS mic, I know deep down she's jealous that my dog has already won multiple training awards and regularly competes in agility and frisbee tournaments. How long did it take her to train George? Two years? Bah, what an amateur. I've done that and more and only had my Pug for three days.

Newton, our houseguest

Ruby's boyfriend Newton, one of her flyball teammates, is staying with us for a week. It is dog heaven here! They play until they pass out. George even gets into it every now and then, but they are usually too rough for him. We need to get another Boston for Ruby to play with - she's in LOVE!

Ruby and Newton playing tug - a lot of growling and pulling happens with this game. Usually Netwon is pulling Ruby across the room and she's doing most of the growling. It gets pretty intense. Posted by Picasa

Ruby and Newton with the lime rubber bone - the new favorite toy - playing keep-away. Ruby generally wins this game. Posted by Picasa

Ruby and Newton after a long play session. Newt is pouting because he has to stay for the picutre. Poor sad puppy! Posted by Picasa

This is what a Texas rainstorm looks like. It starts without a warning and usually lasts about 10-15 minutes, then it stops as suddenly as it starts. Today we have flash flooding warnings. and hail. good thing we are safely home and the car is under the carport. Posted by Picasa

You can see the rain falling off the roof of our patio here. the sky is dark... it's actually 6:00 pm. Posted by Picasa

As you can see, the rain is flowing down the driveway in a river. The rain gutters are about a foot high here... this is why. Posted by Picasa

My Review of "Deuce Bigalow, European Gigalo"

There was only 10 people in the theatre. It was completely politically incorrect and crude. We laughed a lot though. Don't expect a good movie - it's very stupid... but funny... 3 out of 5

Greetings From Vankleek Hill

Hey everyone. I'm having an excellent time here at Kim's place. The weather is PERFECT (although she keeps saying it's hot). It's so nice to be here with the windows open and no annoying air conditioner humming. There are crickets chirping, not secedas bursting your eardrums. I walked outside in the grass in bare feet without fear of fire ant bites. Her chocolate lab Boomer is a big goofy puppy. having a great time, will be home tomorrow.

Wanda's Wedding Photos

Hey all... Wanda's wedding was just beautiful. We took all the photos from Kim's, Brenda's and my cameras and put them up on Kim's blog. they look awesome. Wanda was a gorgeous bride. we had a lot of fun in Lake St. Peters with perfect weather and Dave's family were excellent hosts. I'm enjoying the last of the cool Ontario summer weather before I have to return to the pit of hell. (can you tell I don't like the heat??). bye.
